Questions about DonorCARE

What is DonorCARE?

DonorCARE is fundraising software for Malaysian non-profit organisations. It runs campaigns, donation payments, tax receipts, LHDN e-Invoices, donor records and reports in one system.

Does DonorCARE take a percentage of each donation?

No. DonorCARE charges for the plan an organisation is on and takes no percentage of a gift. Online gifts settle through the organisation's own payment gateway account, and the gateway charges its own transaction fee.

Does DonorCARE support LHDN MyInvois e-invoicing?

Yes. Where e-Invoicing applies to an organisation, DonorCARE validates each gift, submits it to LHDN MyInvois and tracks it to clearance. It is part of the Enterprise plan.

Who owns the donor data in DonorCARE?

The organisation does. Under the PDPA the organisation is the data user and DonorCARE is its data processor, and donor records, donation history and receipts can be exported at any time.
